Was cutting the hole easy, or did I mess up the placement?
I tried cutting it as close to the curve at the bottom without going into it, but looking at other pics I see some almost at the weld so oh well … The ferrule fits extremely tight so hopefully the soldering goes well. I Will update when done.I used a bi metal hole saw, and a dewalt hand drill. I built a small dam around the hole area with play dough, and filled it with water.I used a ratchet strap and strapped the keg down to a short but heavy metal stand to hold it in place securely, this worked very well.As I slowly cut through the metal the water began draining down into the keg so i would stop to add more.It took maybe two minutes to cut through slowly. never got more than a little warm and cut very cleanly. I knocked the burrs off the inside edges with a semi round file, smooth to the touch.I guess if I add another hole for more power I can put that one lower
