We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Production to lead our brewing and distilling operations.
Job Description:
The Director of Production will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our brewing and distilling operations, ensuring the highest quality standards, and maintaining efficient and effective production processes. This role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and play a critical part in shaping the strategic direction of our production department.

As Big Storm Brewery and Distillery continues to go further into distilling, we are looking for a visionary leader to take our production capabilities to the next level. This new role is a key part of our growth strategy, aiming to enhance our production processes, maintain our commitment to quality, and support our ambitious goals for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the brewing and distilling teams, including the Head Brewer, Distilling Manager, QA/QC Manager, Packaging Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Maintenance Manager.Develop and implement production strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.Oversee production schedules to meet demand and maximize efficiency.Manage and optimize production budgets and costs.Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safety regulations.Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence within the production department.Meet weekly with leadership team to discuss upcoming beer releases & brewing schedule as it pertains to front of house, marketing & the kitchenMaintain accurate raw materials inventory and order ingredientsRegister labels with TTB & TABC for wholesale distributionMonitor and control costsFile monthly comptroller reportFile and make ready for payment monthly and quarterly excise taxExhibit kindness, professionalism & patience toward all staff & guests
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Brewing, Distilling, Engineering, or a related field or a Minimum of 10 years of experience in brewing and/or distilling, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements.Proven ability to manage and lead diverse teams.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Passion for craft beer and spirits is highly desirable.
