Apologies if I’ve posted this in the wrong place, but it seems like the Required Reading link to Palmer’s How to Brew has gone dead, and I was wondering if anyone had an alternative? I’ve been googling for a while, but haven’t had any luck.

Where did you find the link?

I’ve noticed John Palmer has slowly trimmed his online brewing instruction content over the last few years. It makes sense given the popularity of his books and video series.Because of the knowledge here at Homedistiller I don’t recommend buying distilling books but would recommend Palmer’s book in a heartbeat.EDIT: There are some good Palmer nuggets in here .“Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite, and furthermore, always carry a small snake.”- W.C. Hi Chris, the link is right on the main page in the beginner’s guide at wiki/index.php/Main_Page Thought I should mention that it wasn’t working and was hoping someone else might have an alternative. Thanks Twisted, some good reading in there.Agree 100% about this being a better resource than the books that are out there. I’ve read a couple, and they don’t really come close.

Beat me to it Chris. https://web.archive.com/web/20221017185 … obrew.com/I have noticed several times when attempting to hit the site that it just loads a blank page. It seems to have persisted for some time, so I assume it’s intentional, but who knows? The book version is still available, and at this point the latest edition is more than 25 years newer than the first edition online.
