Can tannin from barrel be aged out of Brandy? Filtering did not work, and I do not want to destroy the Brandy or throw away the barrel unless I absolutely Have to.

Its a three year old Apple Brandy that was aged in new oak. I always use new oak for this product. It has a great nose and up front flavor is just what it should be. But the finish is like breathing in campfire ash.

You could always try blending in some “fresh” brandy and letting that rest in a tank, or a used barrel if you have more time to devote to it.

I think a used barrel might be the best advice. Thanks.
