Crafting Homemade Moonshine
Hey everybody!!!Trying my hand at moonshine after a couple batches of rum. I did the Pugirum recipe, which involves 3 batches, each using the dunder from the last. Strip each wash. Once the third is done, combine the 3 washes and do a spirit run. The point, I think, is to keep all the leftover goodness as long as possible. Also pugi’s position on what he calls the rum oils. I’m wondering if the same process will work for moonshine, and if the moonshine will benefit like the rum. TIA.

Like a Sour Mash whisky?If it’s got hide or hair, I used to ride it. Wheels or tracks, I can drive it. Rotor or fixed wings, I can fly it.And if it’s grain, I’ll make a drop outta it!

What exactly do you mean by moonshine? Sugar wash, grain and sugar, grain only?

I believe anything with corn can be used like a sour mash. Check out Uncle Jesse simple sour mash in the tried and true sectionI drink so much now,on the back of my license it’s a list of organs I need.
