  • Alternative Options to Self-Blended Turbo Yeast

I’m looking for fast fermenting high volume solutions for a sugar wash. This is for neutral spirit production for macerated sprits (so as long as it’s not foul, the flavor profile is not a major factor). I’ve managed to get a ~19% ferment in 5 days using stepped sugar feeding with a turbo yeast. But, have so far been unable to get something like this with my own fermentations blends. Even with carefully calculated nutrients and an aggressive yeast strain like EC-1118. Turbo yeast can be a bit pricy.

Anyone have any luck with a self-blend they are willing to share?
